Love of… Country, Life and a Woman “Cate & Marc’s” Wedding Day

Cate and Marc celebrated their wedding ceremony with style, class and elegance. Cate’s dress was amazing, beautifully made with lace throughout, her jewelry handed down by her grandmother and her veil passed along from her mother, which she wore on her wedding day. This bride was stunning, she had it all, beauty, humor, class and grace… it was absolutely wonderful photographing her, and her beautiful bridesmaids.

Their ceremony was held in the quaint church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, built 1946, in Arlington, VA. It was a warm late afternoon in June with the warm golden light streaming through the church windows, beautifully illuminating the entire sanctuary. Donned in Dress Blues, Marc, was just as stunning in his own right.

Next stop on our schedule, the Iwo Jima Memorial, to take some brial party portraits. This couple looked amazing, and to capture some candid moments of them shows how much in love they are.

And let the party begin…. Soldiers know how to cut loose, there was dancing, singing and a whole lot of fun. The reception was held at the Officer’s Club on the base at Fort Myer. One thing I loved seeing was the lineage of the previous photographs on display dating way way back. I would love to photograph like this…. Have fun checking out this gorgeous couple’s amazing day.
