Each and every wedding is unique by nature, different church, different venue, different music, different everything… but the one thing that I have found in common with each wedding we photograph is the true love and joy between he and she. Jasmine and Corey shared this with us and their families and all their friends and guests. Jasmine is a beautiful girl inside and out, but on this particular day she was beyond gorgeous, beyond words that could describe how beautiful she looked, as well as her bridesmaids were too.
The ceremony was held in at the lovely First Baptist Church of Silver Spring in Silver Spring, MD. After a beautiful ceremony we all headed over to the Double Tree Hotel in Bethesda for the reception. Decorated with a “White Lounge” style, purple and white up-lighting and one of the best DJ’s I have heard, this celebration was off the hook.
A huge shout out to Ms. Tina Randall- the wedding coordinator did an amazing job.
Meet for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Corey Hankerson…

I felt a wonderful connection the first time I photographed Marjorie and Jerry, Engagement Session, for their engagement photo session.
An outdoor wedding , the Hendry House is one of those hidden oasis in the middle of a sprawling metropolis area. Located along the Potomac Palisades, this historically rich location is surrounded by gardens, a forest and meadow, and the site of Marjorie and Jerry’s Wedding Day. On the list of the day’s events besides the normal wedding activities, e.g., celebrating and dancing, Marjorie and Jerry had some extra fun activities planned; croquet, bocce ball, and some Frisbee golf. I told you these guys were a special couple. Affectionately known as “Big Jer and Large Marge” these guys are the best of friends… kindness, respect, joy, laughter and true love are what these two are all about.

Can you say “H U G E”?! Over 400 family members, friends and guests attended Ruth and Ajay’s ceremony & celebration. Traveling from all over the US, representing; TX, CA, OR, NY, NJ, PA, MI, VA and MD… and from as far as India, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata… 20 hours to get here and celebrate the union of the Ponnuswamy and Prasad families.
When Ruth met with us to go over wedding details last March, who would have imagined that we were going to be in the ‘rainy season’ here in Virginia? Rainy weather is suppose to mean ‘good luck’ for the newly wed couple. Well, Ruth and Ajay, I would say you are blessed beyond measure.
It was such an honor to photograph this wedding and at the same time learn about the very beautiful customs associated with the Indian culture. Songs and readings were offered by close family members and friends during the ceremony, many of the women dressed in the most lovely and colorful Indian Sarees, and an abundance of love ran not only through this couple but also through all of their guests. Even the smallest of guests, the many children who were present, wore love and laughter on their faces.

This wedding was absolutely wonderful. The bride was gorgeous, the groom stunning and the best dancing I have seen ever at a reception.
Elizabeth and Mark added a really cool twist at their reception, rather than the DJ introducing the bridal party, they themselves handled the honors. They had the entire room in stitches… and not to be outdone, Elizabeth’s sister Kate and also the matron of honor, and Mark’s best man Eddie, delivered amazing speeches!
Sit back and enjoy the photos from Elizabeth & Mark’s beautiful day.
